DHCP Templates in BlueCat
BlueCat DHCP templates extends the capability of network templates to DHCP addresses and ranges to eliminate error prone and time-consuming manual updates. Let’s dive right in. We’re going to start with a previously created network template that contains two options.
Current functionality allows you to assign the template to a network. We’re going to now assign it to a network range and an individual reserved DHCP address starting with a range already created in this network.
To assign the template select the range and click the Apply template link. Select the test option template and click Apply. Notice the two options were applied.
We verify this by clicking on the deployment options tab and verifying that the options are present. Now we will apply the same template to a DHCP reserved address. First, we must create the address we enter a MAC address here.
